Hey AdClub,

Just wanted to share some news about an awesome visitor we had this past Tuesday! Adam Gavfert, an advertising student from Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, Sweden, came to our meeting this past week as a part of his project called College Drop-in. Basically, for this project Adam wanted to portray American college culture and school spirit by traveling to the US and visiting a college campus. After looking at hundreds of schools across the nation, he chose the University of Georgia based on its college culture and reputable advertising program. He spent the past week talking to students, experiencing Athens daily life, and documenting his trip on a website (collegedropin.com), which will be displayed at his graduate exhibition. I'd encourage you guys to check out the project (we got a featured post!) and take a look at his portfolio for more information and inspiration. And please feel free to contact him at adam.gafvert@beckmans.se if you want to talk to him!

AdClub Annual Banquet

Tuesday, April 17th, 7pm in Hotel Indigo's Rialto Room

banquet

Join us for a delicious dinner, time to mingle with your fellow AdClubbers and, of course, a chance to be honored for your efforts this year in the club. Every person in attendance will receive a certificate for their membership and participation in the club. If you plan to attend the Awards Banquet, please fill out the form below, by no later than April 10th to reserve your spot. There are only a limited number of spots available, so the sooner you sign up, the better.

The theme is Mad Men, so dress in your best 60s Madison Avenue attire (no jeans please). The dinner is free to all members who will have Gold member status (101-125 points in one semester or 201-250 points over the course of the year) by April 10th.

For all others, your dinner will be $15. You must bring $15 in cash (exact amount) or check to Kirsten Strausbaugh-Hutchinson, in Journalism room 200, by 5pm on April 10th in order to reserve your spot.
